GAA Extends Public Comment Period for Revised Farmed Mollusk Standards by One Week

SEAFOODNEWS.COM [SeafoodNews] February 1, 2016

The Global Aquaculture Alliance has extended the public comment period for its Best Aquaculture Practices Farmed Mollusk Standards by a week to February 12.

The 60-day comment period started on December 4, 2015. The standards cover all major farmed mollusk species, including mussels, scallops, oysters, clams and abalone, and will replace the existing BAP mussel farm standards. They were prepared by the BAP mollusk technical committee, which is chaired by Brian Kingzett.

All comments received during the public comment period are carefully considered for inclusion in the final documents.
