CAA Welcomes CAFRF

June 29th, 2010

Recent weeks have made it clear that the Hatchery and Stocking EIR will require substantial changes in the regulations governing stocking of streams and ponds in California.  Proposed regulations being drafted by the Department of Fish and Game appear to have such dramatic consequences for the state that several groups have rallied to try to intervene.  Out of this excitement, a new group has now been launched, the California Association for Recreational Fishing, or CAFRF.  This new group is made up of a number of concerned individuals and companies determined to protect the interests of recreational fishing in California and those who support them.  The group is working closely with a number of related groups, including CAA, the California Farm Bureau Federation, and others.

More information about CAFRF can be found on their website:  www.savecalfishing.org
