PassionFish Forum on Seafood in San Diego

PASSIONFISH HOSTS EXCITING FORUM ON SEAFOOD AND OCEAN SUSTAINABILITY TO KICK OFF WORLD OCEAN WEEK San Diego, California — The non-partisan, multi-media organization Passionfish is hosting an engaging and educational forum called Fish! on the urgent issue of seafood and ocean sustainability. Fish! Forum, open to the public, is co-hosted by the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, 1500 Ocean restaurant and the nonprofits Cooks Confab and Slow Food Urban San Diego. WHO: The panel is composed of stakeholders representing all sides of the seafood and ocean sustainability issue — business leaders, scientists, fish farmers, fishermen, policy makers, restaurateurs, and community leaders. WHAT: As part of The First Annual San Diego Sustainable Seafood Week, “Fish!” and launching World Ocean Week. WHERE: Hotel Del Coronado, Coronado, California. Weather permitting, the event will be held outdoors with the ocean as backdrop. The forum is a free public event and will include time for audience Q/A. WHEN: Sunday, June 6, 2010. 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Following the Fish! Forum, a special sustainable seafood dinner “Fish!” will be held at 1500 Ocean, the Hotel Del Coronado’s fine dining restaurant.
