CAA Welcomes New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of the California Aquaculture Association has announced the selection of Dr. Michael R. McCoy as the new Executive Director. Dr. McCoy is an association management professional who has specialized in helping organizations to reach their full potential. He holds the Ph.D. degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a B.A. from Emory and Henry College in Virginia. He retired from a teaching career in higher education and has been working in non-profit and association organizations for a number of years. He brings particular expertise in fund raising, membership development, communications, marketing, and public affairs.
McCoy comes to his assignment with CAA as the head of his association management company. He will be joined in his efforts by a small team of dedicated professionals that work with him in Mrmccoy Management Solutions.
The Board of Directors has directed Dr. McCoy to work quickly in the areas of membership development and non-dues revenue. He will also be assisting the Board to develop stronger membership services, communications methods, and marketing for the association and its members.
